The New Renaissance Productions™ mic locker is stocked with over ninety microphones – many of which are either acoustically matched pairs, consecutive serial number pairs, or closely matched serial number pairs. Every microphone type has it’s own own distinctive sonic character. In the hands of a skilled engineer, they become like colors on an artist’s palette – applied to render a specific sonic signature.
No matter the sound source, our objective is to get the desired sound at the front end of the signal chain – before it even hits our premium Apogee A/D (Analog to Digital) converters. Choose the “right” microphone, dial in the “right” mic placement, route it through the “right” mic preamp with the “right” gain structure (and possibly through the “right” signal processing), and you have laid the cornerstone to build the sound signature you desire for your music.
Of course “right” is subjective, and by our definition, “right” is whatever sounds best and best serves the song.
Shockmount Cabinet: With so many great mics, we built a dedicated cabinet just to house and organize the microphone shockmounts! 
Every shockmount, mic clip, stand and mounting device is equipped with bayonet type quick connects to make set up and change-outs quick and easy.
